Discover Real Estate In The East Manhattan Beach Neighborhood

East Manhattan Beach real estate is part of an upbeat, family-oriented neighborhood that is perfect for people who want a balanced lifestyle in a great location. East Manhattan Beach is made up of three smaller communities: Manhattan Village, Liberty Village and the Mira Costa Section.

It is a near-rectangular area, bordered by Sepulveda to Aviation and Artesia to Rosecrans. People look for East Manhattan Beach homes for sale because of its family-friendly atmosphere and medley of nearby amenities, including shopping, parks, recreation facilities, restaurants and cafes, and—of course—Manhattan Beach itself.

While East Manhattan is further from the beach than the Sand Section, you can still reach the beach from every corner of East Manhattan in under 10 minutes. No matter where you live in East Manhattan, the beach is only moments away.

East Manhattan Beach is also much closer to major thoroughfares and freeway onramps than other Manhattan beach neighborhoods, making it an ideal base for people who commute to downtown L.A. or Hollywood. Buying a home for sale in East Manhattan may mean an easier commute to work.

One of the most popular parks in East Manhattan Beach is Polliwog Park, a South Bay favorite for its duck pond and free evening concerts during the summer months. Poliwog Park has a swimming pool, ball field, dog park, disc golf course, and playgrounds. It also shares space with the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden, a free, self-guided space that exhibits beautiful drought-tolerant plants.

The Manhattan Heights Park Community Center is home to several sport courts, including basketball, tennis, paddleball, a climbing wall, and a baseball field. Meanwhile, Marine Avenue Park has additional basketball courts, a dog park, a baseball field with batting cages, racquetball courts, a skate park, and more.

Manhattan Country Club is located in the north end of the neighborhood and describes itself as a “resort haven and escape.” The country club has 18 tennis courts, a 25-yard swimming pool, world-class fitness equipment, group classes, and more.

Next door, Westdrift Golf (formerly the Manhattan Beach Marriot Golf Course) provides an executive part 3 course on beautifully manicured, slightly hilly terrain. The course is a fun yet challenging 9 holes that is well suited for most players.

Suffice to say, East Manhattan is chalk full of sports and outdoor activities, providing East Manhattan Beach real estate owners with ample opportunity for fun.
